Happy Birthday Card

Hello again.  My...a new blog post two days in a row.  Unheard of!!
I've had some time and luckily the creative mojo has decided to return.

This is for my mother in law's birthday.  The sticker is from SRM, embossing folder is from Stampin' UP, everything else is from my stash.  Using it up feels good.

Thanks,
Ivanka

Mr. & Mrs.

Hello.
I'm joining in the current challenge at Cardabilities this week.  Love this sketch.

There's a lot of silver going on today.  It's pretty but hard to photograph.
I didn't have a silver doilie so I used Heidi Swapp's color shine in Tinslel to make it silver.  It worked great and added a nice shimmer to the card.  Silver paper is from Die Cuts With a View.  Flowers and leaves are from Prima.  Sticker is from SRM We've got your Sticker/Forever.

Thanks so much for dropping by.

Trick or Treat Card

Hi again.

Yesterday, I posted this card and project which were published in the Fall issue of Paper Creations magazine.  I liked the Halloween tube, but didn't really have a need for it once it came back from the magazine.  So I took it apart and used the tag to make a card instead.

The paper is from Authentique, Enchanted.  Gems are from the $ store.
I quite like this as a Halloween card.

Thanks for dropping by,
Ivanka

Happy Thanksgiving!

We're having beautiful weather today, nice to have a 3 day weekend.  Canadian Thanksgiving seems to come so early, I'm probably more ready for it in November...but the fabulous meal and the great family memories are welcome any time of the year.

I didn't make any Thanksgiving cards this year, so here are a couple of Halloween projects.

Both of these are published in the current issue of Paper Creations Magazine, page 72-73.  :)

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Thank You.

I fell in love with the 75 Cents line from Kaisercraft.  Its elegance and gorgeous colors are just perfection.
Paired with a fancy sticker sentiment from SRM Stickers, and not much else is needed.

Happy Wednesday!

Class of 2013

Hello, not too much creativity here lately.  Life sure gets in the way of time spent in the studio.
But that will hopefully change soon.  :)

Today's card is one I made a while ago, just never got around to sharing.  It's going out to my nephew who has just graduated with an Engineering Degree.  :)

The stickers are from SRM , grad hat is from Jolee's, embossing folder is quatrefoil from the paper studio.

Thanks for dropping by.

Heat It Up!

Happy Valentine's Day!

It's my turn to share a favorite technique over at the CardMaker blog...pop on over to have a peek.

I had so much fun with this and am in love with the gorgeous colors of the Zing embossing powders, that I made another card to share.

Here's the metal frame before heat embossing.

Here's it is on a card.  Isn't that color just beautiful?

I heat embossed the background to match the frame using dot background stamp from Stampabilities.  Zing embossing Powder is from American Crafts.  The sticker sentiment is from SRM, the patterned paper is Loolah from Creative Imaginations, ribbon is from Offray, Foam adhesive is from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™.

If you're game for a little challenge, I've got the newest issue of CardMaker magazine that I would love to share.

All you have to do is give this technique (heat embossing on metal) a try, come back here and post a link to your card or project in the comments section below and I'll throw your name in for the magazine and a few extra goodies from me.  Link up your cards by Sunday, Feb. 17th midnight and I'll pick a winner on Monday Feb. 18th.

Thanks so much for visiting today.  I can't wait to see your creations.

Happy Heart Day!

Life is Good

Good Morning.  Quick card today.

This was given to a friend on his 50th birthday.

The navigational compass in the background is a clip art I found in the basic Microsoft program.  The sticker is from Penny Black, generously sent to me by my personal shopper in Wisconsin...Barb!  The sentiment is from SRM stickers.  The rope is from Hemptique (found in Hobby Lobby) and the nautical knot was expertly tied by my husband....he comes in handy sometimes!

Have a wonderful day.

Favorite Product and a Giveaway

Good Morning!  It's my turn over on the CardMaker Blog to talk about one of my all time favorite products SRM Stickers.  I hope you get a chance to stop by the CardMaker Blog today.

If you've visited my blog before, you know that I have a kind of addiction to these stickers.  I can't seem to make a card with out using some SRM stickers.  Check out the SRM Labels section of my blog sidebar and you'll find the many cards I've made with these stickers.

My card today is made using Stickers by the Dozen-Valentine.

Check out SRM’s blog and FaceBook page for daily sticker inspiration. And don’t forget their Flickr gallery! Using SRM’s stickers quickly becomes addictive…don’t say I didn’t warn you!
Susan McShirley from SRM Stickers has generously offered this giveaway of SRM products.

All you have to do is leave a comment here on my blog by Friday, January 18th at midnight.  I'd love to hear if you like to use stickers when you create.

I'll pick a random winner on Saturday, January 19th.

Thanks!

CardMaker Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the CardMaker blog hop where our theme is For You, From Me: Gift Card Holders-lots of ideas for last-minute gift-card holders.

I made these little gift-card envelopes using the Martha Stewart Scoring Board. If you're not familiar with the MS scoring board, there is a basic tutorial on how to make envelopes here. Why Martha has this guy doing the video and not her, I don't know...but it's good info.

My card is # 1 size in the standard envelope sizes and it measures 2 5/8" x 3 7/8" when completed, perfect for a gift card.

The label stickers from SRM work perfectly for these last minute crafts.

Here's the back of the envelope finished with gorgeous glittered brads.

A perfect fit...so quick and easy too.

I hope you find some inspiration on our blog hop to get some of those last minute gift card holders made.

Here is the order of CardMaker Blog team:

Merry Christmas

It's been a while since I've joined in the challenge at Less is More.  Love their challenges and so happy I could play this week.  The challenge this week (week 94) is to use hardware.

The metal frame is from Making Memories.  It was a yellow color and I almost got rid of it as I had not found a use for it over the years.  But as I was heat embossing on another card, the idea to change the color of the frame struck me. I used VeraMark ink and Holly Berry Red Gold embossing powder from Lindy's Stamp Gang and I love the result.  The 3D sticker is from K&Co., sticker is Stickers by the Dozen from SRM and the embossing folder is Swiss Dots by Cuttlebug.

Thanks so much for dropping by.  Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday.

Boo!

Hard to believe that Halloween is just a couple of days away.  It seems to have snuck up on me this year, I have yet to get my candy.  Hopefully 'Frankenstorm' won't interfere with trick or treating on Wednesday night.  I love seeing all the little ones in their costumes at the door.

Today, I'm playing long with this month's challenge at The Ribbon Carousel (RCC73) and entering the Paper Crafts Oct Gallery challenge where the theme for both is Halloween.

These were fun little projects to do.  For this little tag, I distressed the cardstock with white ink and used a cotton ball behind the ghost.  The stickers are from SRM We've got your Sticker-Treats, ribbon is from Offray.

For the little treats, the 2 x 2 die cut envelope is from Sizzix using vellum.  Stickers are from SRM, twine is from May Arts.  These turned out really cute.

Thanks for popping in today.
Happy Halloween!
