CAS Happy Birthday

Hello, I'm so excited to be taking part in another class at  Online Card Classes .  This time it's Clean and Simple Cardmaking 2.

Love the way these classes are run and I always come away learning a ton of great tips and new techniques.

Today's card is based on Julie Ebersole's sketch from the class.

I used watercolor paper and painted the background with Twinkling H2O's (Key Lime mainly and then a slight wash of Autumn Skies).  Once that dried I stamped the background with Stamper's Best Harlequin Script Background in Frost White ink form ColorBox.  The Decorative label punch and Real Red ink are from Stampin' UP!  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

I'm entering this in the Moxie Fab challenge celebration of the release of 75 Creative Card  Challenges. The challenge is to make your own background paper.

Thanks for dropping by.

CardMaker and May Arts Blog Hop

Hello!  Today the CardMaker Blog Team is joining one of my favorite ribbon companies May Arts in a Cardmaker Blog Hop!  I can't wait to see all the great inspiration from the two teams.  Hope you hop along with us!  You should have arrived from the very talented Glenda J. Wyatt's blog.

Here's my card, stamping on May Arts ribbon.

I started out by painting watercolor paper with Twinkling H2O's (Cedar Wood), then stamping the world map (Stampendous) in VersaFine (Vintage Sepia) ink.  I adheared the sticker (Penny Black, Vintage Sailing) onto cardstock and set the eyelets.  For the background cardstock (SU Crumb Cake), I misted it with water, scrunched it, then dried it with the heat gun.  I stamped the sentiment (old Inkadinkadoo) onto the May Arts ribbon Using VersaFine (Black Onyx) ink.  I adheared it to the background using Scrapbook Adhesive Crafty Power Tape.  The patterned paper is from Echo Park (Chillingsworth Manor).

And to make this hop even more fun, May Arts Blog is giving away four spools of ribbon, winners choice!  Make sure you comment along the way as you're hopping along.  Good luck!

Your next stop on the blog hop is the very talented Gini Williams Cagle

Here is a list of all the blogs participating today.

Thanks for joining in for this fun hop and a huge thanks to May Arts for sponsoring this hop!

you are really inspiring me to give stickers a try. I really don't use them in my crafting, but after taking a look at your projects, I'm wanting to give it a go! thanks! :)

Favorite Product and a Giveaway

Good Morning!  It's my turn over on the CardMaker Blog to talk about one of my all time favorite products SRM Stickers.  I hope you get a chance to stop by the CardMaker Blog today.

If you've visited my blog before, you know that I have a kind of addiction to these stickers.  I can't seem to make a card with out using some SRM stickers.  Check out the SRM Labels section of my blog sidebar and you'll find the many cards I've made with these stickers.

My card today is made using Stickers by the Dozen-Valentine.

Check out SRM’s blog and FaceBook page for daily sticker inspiration. And don’t forget their Flickr gallery! Using SRM’s stickers quickly becomes addictive…don’t say I didn’t warn you!
Susan McShirley from SRM Stickers has generously offered this giveaway of SRM products.

All you have to do is leave a comment here on my blog by Friday, January 18th at midnight.  I'd love to hear if you like to use stickers when you create.

I'll pick a random winner on Saturday, January 19th.

Thanks!

Wedding Cards

Good Morning.

A friend recently asked me to make two wedding cards.  It's been a long while since I've made some, so I had to dig deep into my stash to find some wedding products.

Most of my supplies have been in my stash for a while.  The gold plaque is from K & Co. from several years ago, the journaling tag is from Making Memories, the rhinestone flourish is also from K & Co. and the hearts were punched out of American Crafts glitter tape.

A second card, using the same supplies.

These were a lot of fun to create.
Thanks for dropping by today.
