Thinking of You

Time seems to fly doesn't it?! I have no idea where the last 2 weeks have gone. There is just not enough time in a day to do all I'd like to do. Do you find that too?

This is a card I made for a coworker whose husband passed away suddenly. He called her at works saying that he wasn't feeling well. She raced home, but by the time she got there, he was gone. It hit all of us at work really hard.

As for the card-the patterned paper is from Making Memories. I ran it through my Sizzix machine with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The sticker is from PSX, I stamped the background with the Stampin' Up French script rubber stamp. The flowers and rhinestones are from Prima and the sentiment stamp is from Studio G.

That's all for me today. Give all of your loved ones an extra hug today.

Oldie Moldie Monday!

This week I dug out my Crate Paper. I've had this for a couple of years, loved it but never really created with it. Don't know why.
I think it worked well for these 2 sympathy cards that I needed to make. It's never easy to make a sympathy card, but I do like how these turned out. The rubber stamp is from Rubberstamp Ave, sentiment is computer generated, hardware is from Stampin' Up! And the ribbon is from Offray.
It's a long weekend Monday for us, but the weather is cold and miserable. Nice day to be inside creating! Hope you're having a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday Barb!

My wonderful friend and tour guide from Wisconsin Barb, is having a birthday! Hope you have a day as wonderful as you are Barb! This card is on its' way to you.
The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye and the stamps are from Gina K, all bought on my trip to Wisconsin a few weeks ago. I colored the image in with Twinkling H2O's and addedd Stickles to the flowers.
Happy Birthday Barb!

Middle of the week card

So I missed doing an oldie moldie card on Monday, don't know where the time goes. Anyway, here is my middle of the week card. Actually this one is on it's way to my cousin for her birthday.

Patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye. The flourish is a Sizzix die cut and I must have really wanted this die because I bought it twice. Yup, I did. Before I went to visit my friend Barb in Wisconsin a few weeks ago, I shopped on line at Joanne's and the Sizzix site and had the things shipped to Barb to save on shipping things to Canada. I think the 2 orders were a few weeks apart. When I opened my boxes in Wisconsin, there was this flourish die in the order from Joanne's and the same die in the Sizzix box. I must have really liked it!! Luckily Annie was nice enough to buy it from me so that I wasn't stuck with 2 of them.

I really do like creating with the flourish, so I guess it was meant to be. The large flower is from Bazzill, the smaller one is from MM, rhinestone is from Kaiser Scrapbooking.

Happy Wednesday!
