Get Well Soon

The Play Date Cafe is celebrating it's 3rd Anniversary.  I've been wanting to play along and join in the celebration all week, but the color story really had me stumped.

Here it is:

The colors are so rich and vibrant, but I kept stalling with every design I tried.

Finally today, I 'dummied' down the colors and the card came together.  That's how The Play Date Cafe has always been for me, a huge challenge with some of the colors, but the challenge does me a lot of good and I'm usually happy with the result.

The embossing folder is Argyle from The Paper Studio.  Washi tape is from Queen & Co. (striped) and Teresa Collins (music).  The flower is from The Paper Studio, flower center is from Prima and sentiment is from Hero Arts, and the newsprint is from Stampin' UP.

I'm also playing along with A Blog Named Hero, where the challenge is a CAS card.
Playing along with the CAS challenge at SCS also, where the challenge is to use newsprint/dictionary paper.

Thanks so much for dropping by.  And Happy Anniversary to The Play Date Cafe...check out the amazing prizes they have lined up.  But hurry, it ends tonight.
