Heat It Up!

Happy Valentine's Day!

It's my turn to share a favorite technique over at the CardMaker blog...pop on over to have a peek.

I had so much fun with this and am in love with the gorgeous colors of the Zing embossing powders, that I made another card to share.

Here's the metal frame before heat embossing.

Here's it is on a card.  Isn't that color just beautiful?

I heat embossed the background to match the frame using dot background stamp from Stampabilities.  Zing embossing Powder is from American Crafts.  The sticker sentiment is from SRM, the patterned paper is Loolah from Creative Imaginations, ribbon is from Offray, Foam adhesive is from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™.

If you're game for a little challenge, I've got the newest issue of CardMaker magazine that I would love to share.

All you have to do is give this technique (heat embossing on metal) a try, come back here and post a link to your card or project in the comments section below and I'll throw your name in for the magazine and a few extra goodies from me.  Link up your cards by Sunday, Feb. 17th midnight and I'll pick a winner on Monday Feb. 18th.

Thanks so much for visiting today.  I can't wait to see your creations.

Happy Heart Day!
Ivanka

hmmmm I must have some frames like that somewhere - have any idea where they are - I don't have those pretty colors of embossing powder - I do have some pink that might be fun. Could you cut a frame out of paper, emboss it in a texture folder, and then use embossing powder on it for the same effect if you don't have any frames.

Love both the cards.

I was able to get time this afternoon to give it a try and I just love the look, I hope Barb is going to give it a try in pink, that is the color I was wishing I had to give a try, I think I used the same color you did. Here is the link to it: http://conniescraftycreations.blogspot.com/2013/02/heat-embossing-metal-challenge.html
