...And We Start Again...

Here we are at the start of another year. Wishing all of my friends near and far, all the best in 2009. May it be a happy and creative year!

So here's my first card of 2009. This is based on Laura's Sketch #16 at 2 Sketches 4 You
I don't usually gravitate to bright colors, but in January, I seem to need as much color and sun as I can get. I love how this all came together, not sure who it will go to yet. It may just sit here on my shelf to brighten things up for a while.

The patterned paper is Poppy from Sei, chipboard bird is from Maya Road. I painted it white and added scrapbook glitter from Making Memories while the paint was still wet. Flowers are from Prima, gems are from Me and My Big Ideas and $ store, rub on sentiment is from Deja Views, paper ribbon is from Daisy Bucket and so much fun to play with.

Thank you for all of your visits and chats in the past year. I'm looking forward to another fun year...and finally in my 'real' studio here at home.
