Oldie Moldie Monday, A Sketch and Prizes!

Welcome to Oldie Moldie Monday!

My friend Barb and I are joining Operation Write Home this week. They have a wonderful card challenge site on their blog Stars and Stamps and each Sunday they post a sketch challenge. This is a wonderful organization that sends handmade cards to our deployed troops, so they can in turn send them home to friends and family. Barb has been playing along with their challenges and has made an impressive 50 cards which she recently sent off to OWH so they can send them to the troops.

We hope you play along. Here are the details of the challenge:
  • Using your long lost supplies, make a masculine and a feminine card based on the sketch
  • Upload it to our Oldie Moldie Monday Flickr Gallery
  • Come back to our blogs next Monday (May 10th) to see if you are one of our winners. Barb and I are each offering a prize.

Here's the sketch:

And here's my feminine card. The stamp is from Impression Obsession stamped on Daisy D's paper that I've been hoarding. The ribbon is from Offray, sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink, border punch is from Fiskars, the embossing folder is from Cuttlebug.

And here's my masculine card. The stamp is from Rubberstamp Ave, paper is from Basic Grey, ribbon is from Martha Stewart and sentiment is from Papertrey Ink again.

Check out the Stars and Stripes Blog for all kinds of inspiration, information about their organization and an address where to send your cards. I'm working on a Canadian address that we can send to and hope to have that before the end of the week.
So that's it...hope you have a happy Monday and get some time to dig into your pile of older supplies and come and play with us.
