Gift Tag

Hello...well, it  was inevitable...we're getting our first snow fall.  I don't think it'll stay, but it's starting to look like winter out there.  I just hope I don't have to shovel it.  :(

Today, I'm joining in on the gift tag challenge at CASual Friday Blog and in the sketch challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch.

Here is the sketch:

Here's my tag...

The stamps are from Penny Black (Tree) and Skipping Stones Design (To, From).  I stamped the tree with VersaMark then heat embossed with Holly Berry red/gold embossing powder from Lindy's Stamp Gang.  I also heat embossed all the edgers with Golden Angel Wings also from Lindy's Stamp Gang.  The ribbon, tulle and trim are from my stash.

Thanks so much for dropping by today.

Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop

Welcome to the Skipping Stones Design new release blog hop.  Today we're featuring the beautiful and elegant Victorian Christmas.  Here's the sketch for our tag blog hop.

Here's my tag based on the sketch.

I love this set and love this elegant tree.  I stamped it with Frost White from ColorBox onto black cardstock  then used Stamp N Bond from Stampendous and heated it.  When the Heat N Bond turned clear, I added Ultrafine Art Glitter.  The image is beautiful and glittery, but my photography skills (or lack there of!) do not do it justice.

I used silver metallic cardstock, the embossing folder is Quatrefoil from The Paper Studio.  I stamped the sentiment with StazOn ink onto the metallic cardstock.

Here is the list of all the stops on the SSD blog hop.

Ivanka Lentle---you are here

Sadly this is may last week at Skipping Stones Design as a guest designer.  Why is it that time goes so fast when you're having fun?!  I've had a lot of fun and the gang at SSD is amazing to work with.

Hope you get a chance to hop along with us this week and join in the sketch challenge for a chance to win a stamp set of your choosing.

And the Christmas cards continue...lots of them.  Some are for sale in the box I take to work and many are going to friends and family.

Embossing folder is flourishes from Hero Arts, patterned paper is from Teresa Collins, Vintage, snowflakes are from K&Co and Anna Griffin, glitter paper is from DCWV and the stickers are from who else??  SRM!

We've had our first bit of snow this weekend which is nice for putting up the tree and decorating today.  It's so nice to have the house so festive with a bit of white stuff outside.

Merry Christmas

It's been a while since I've joined in the challenge at Less is More.  Love their challenges and so happy I could play this week.  The challenge this week (week 94) is to use hardware.

The metal frame is from Making Memories.  It was a yellow color and I almost got rid of it as I had not found a use for it over the years.  But as I was heat embossing on another card, the idea to change the color of the frame struck me. I used VeraMark ink and Holly Berry Red Gold embossing powder from Lindy's Stamp Gang and I love the result.  The 3D sticker is from K&Co., sticker is Stickers by the Dozen from SRM and the embossing folder is Swiss Dots by Cuttlebug.

Thanks so much for dropping by.  Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday.

Happy Holidays

Good Morning,
Here's this week's Skipping Stones Design sketch.

Here's my card:
(sorry for the crappy pic, it rained most of the day and I had to do this inside)

Instead of patterned paper, I went with texture for the background.  The bird is a sticker from Martha Stewart.  I heat embossed the edges of the scallops with VersaMark ink and Lindy's Stamp Gang 'Golden Angel Wings' embossing powder.  I got it when I was in Edmonton in the summer and it's fast becoming one of my favorite embossing powders.  It's hard to see in the picture, but it has such a wonderful shimmer to it.  I used Sentiment Frames (still waiting on my SSD stamps to come in the mail, Canada post is being soooo slow, so am using the one set I own already).

Make sure you visit the SSD blog check out all the DT inspiration and play along with this weeks' sketch.  They give away a stamp set each week...and you get to choose which set you get.  :)

Thanks for dropping by today,

Today I'm playing along with this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge 5.
Here's the sketch:

I'm also joining in on the Chanel inspired challenge at Runway Inspired Challenge blog (ric #23).

Here's the inspiration:

Here's what I came up with.

The stamp is from PrintWorks.  I've had it forever and it's still one of my favorite sentiment stamps.  I was so happy to find it still in their catologue here.  The Washi tape is from Queen and Co., bling is from Kaisercraft and the embossing folder is from The Paper Studio.

Thanks for dropping by.  See you tomorrow for another Skipping Stones Design Sketch challenge.

'Tis the Season

Hello again,

First, can I share something exciting today?  I get to be the guest design team member at Skipping Stones Design for the month of November.  I am over the moon excited and can't wait till tomorrow when I can share my first card for their sketch challenge.

Today, I'm playing along with Retro Sketches (#36).  Here is the sketch:

Here's what I came up with.

The paper is from Teresa Collins (Christmas Cottage), Stamp is from Hampton Art Stamps and one of my all time favorite Christmas images.  I stamped it with Old Olive ink from SU and added some coarse Martha Stewart glitter using Aleene's Paper Glaze to adhere the glitter. Die cut border is from PTI and the sticker sentiment is from SRM, Christmas Stickers by the Dozen.  The embossing folder for the background is Winter Words from Sizzix.

I'm also entering this into the challenge (#15) at A Blog Named Hero, where the challenge is to use a punch or die cut.

Thanks so much for coming by.  See you tomorrow for my first sketch challenge with Skipping Stones Design.
