Play Date Cafe

It's January and thoughts turn to cleaning, organizing and purging.  A recent trend in blogland seems to be that cardmakers/scrapbookers fill up an envelope or box with great stuff and offer it up for sale.  I've  got my own boxes started, but they're going to the garage sale that our LSS has in the spring....so I really don't need more stuff...but more stuff is what I got!!  I can't resist a deal and a couple of weeks ago got some great stuff from Amy

So I'm using some of the 'new to me' things on this card for this week's The Play Date Cafe challenge.

The patterned paper and vellum are from Webster's Pages, stamp is from Penny Black, butterfly and rhinestone flourish are from Prima, Sticker is from SRM.

So with the leftovers from the card, I made a couple of bookmarks.

I love to read and no...I haven't caught on to the ereader craze yet.  You know what my bookmarks usually are?  A folded piece of paper or a receipt...whatever is lying around!  Sad.
After the bookmarks I made for my daughters here, I decided it was time for me to have some cute ones.
I love these.  It makes me so happy to see some pretty ribbon peeking out of the top of my book.  :)

Ivanka

Gorgeous card and I love the bookmarks! I'm a big reader too but never seem to have a bookmark around. You've inspired me to get off my butt and make a few! And I'm not into ereaders either. I love the feel and smell of books - couldn't give that up!

Beautiful card, Ivanka, and lovely bookmarks too! You deserve pretty bookmarks, instead of those receipts you have used. ;)

Thanks for playing with us at The Cafe this week!
